Q: How location tracking works? More...Less...
A: It's like a travel companion mode! Location tracking shows you the weather map in your current location. It automatically updates when you move or travel to a new destination (at bigger distances). You also get updates on active weather alerts in your current location. Besides it goes as default location to the ongoing notification with current conditions and widget. If location tracking is disabled your first location from the bookmarks list goes to the ongoing notification.
Note: Location tracking is designed to have minimal impact on the battery life.
Q: I can see just a bare map, where's radar image? More...Less...
A: It can well mean clear skies over the area on the screen. Zoom the map out to see the whole country – there should be something going on and you'll notice it. In a rare case there's no precipitation at all.
Q: Radar/Satellite image's stuck and won't update. More...Less...
A: Make sure that animation is ON. Just check that the progress barr is rolling and images are changing one another. You should see Pause button when animation is ON. If you see the Play button on the screen, tap it - animation will start and images will update.
Weather Radar Premium is a paid subscription that gives you access to additional features and removes ads.
Additional features currently include Hurricane Tracker and Severe weather alerts for saved locations. Hurricane Tracker shows active tropical weather phenomena and their path on the map. You can also get notifications when a new hurricane or tropical storm forms or changes its class. With Severe weather alerts you set to receive weather alerts for any of the locations you add to favorites.
When the trial period ends, Google Play automatically initiates billing against the credit card that the user provided during the initial purchase, at the amount set for the full subscription, and continuing at the subscription interval. If necessary, you can cancel the subscription at any time during the trial period. In this case, the subscription remains active until the end of the trial period, but Google Play sets the subscription not to renew automatically; at the end of the trial period the subscription expires, and Google Play does not charge you.
You can view the status of all of your subscriptions and cancel them if necessary from the My apps & games screen in the Play Store app. When you cancel a subscription, Google Play does not offer a refund for the current billing cycle. Instead, it allows the user to have access to the canceled subscription until the end of the current billing cycle, at which time it terminates the subscription.
When you decide to uninstall an app that includes purchased subscriptions, the Play Store app will notify you that there are active subscriptions. If you choose to continue with the uninstallation, the app will be removed but the subscriptions will remain active and recurring billing continues. You can return to cancel the associated subscriptions at any time in the My apps & games screen of the Play Store app.
